Supplying the Cafeteria with Beets. November 2016
This summer a wonderful bed of beets was planted to supply the cafeteria with a key ingredient to make beet cake, a delicious red and brown chocolate cake. Four students from team Imagination helped Mrs. Smith harvest and wash 25 pounds of of this root crop. The income generated from the sale of the beets will be reinvested this coming Spring in additional seeds and gardening supplies.
